The Bayreuth Academy of Advanced African Studies, Iwalewahaus (University of Bayreuth) and the Goethe-Institut Namibia, are bringing the exhibition “FAVT: Future Africa Visions in Time” to Namibia. The exhibition will be open to the public from 23 January 2018 – 16 February 2018 at the Goethe-Institut Namibia.

The exhibition programme will offer art talks, walkabouts with the guest artists, performances, video and audio installations and photography.

The exhibition of photographs and installations were produced by international artists (Emeka Alams, Kae Sun, Simon Rittmeier Délio Jasse, Syowia Kiambi Ingrid laFleur, Rui Assubuji / Achim von Oppen, Philipp Khabo Koepsell, Lara Sophie Milagro, Zohra Opoku) with relations to Africa. They aim to reflect the African and African diasporas’ past understanding of a future and how moments of crisis and social mobility have affected the current envisioning of a future.
